How do you break the habit of overthinking?

Overthinking is like a disease which makes you seriously sick without having any physical pain to your body. I have been through this process and the time when I used to be a serious deep and overthinker. Being an overthinker and taking everything seriously harms your creativity and a peaceful mind. So it is always better to get rid of this habit to live a happy and peaceful life.

Now, I have always had a thought that what should I do to get out of this habit and do more of my creativity and take full advantage of my brain.

Over assumptions and thinking for a long time even for a small matter puts iron mould on the top layer your brain, that stops your brain from thinking something more important and necessary.

To get rid and get out of this bad habit this is what I did :

  • Analyzed the matter, whether that is worth thinking and investing my energy on ?
  • Gave myself a few minutes thinking, If that is going to matter in coming couple of years ?
  • Started doing meditation, it helped my mind to be at peace and think about what's right and what's not.
  • Spent a little time studying about brain functioning process and how good and bad thoughts impacted my brain.
  • I became an optimist from an extreme pessimist. This played a huge role in my life.

I would suggest to make a few changes in your habits and you will be acting and taking decisions more precisely and differently than before and the outcomes will be seen, soon enough.

A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts, So he loses touch with reality and lives in the world of illusions.

Hope this helps!
