Once the great boxer Muhammad Ali was asked how many sit-ups he did everyday, and he replied something along the lines of -
I don’t count my sit-ups. I only start counting when it starts hurting. That is when I start counting, because then it really counts. That’s what makes you a champion.
A lot of successful people have already said, that perseverance is the key to their success. It’s necessary to keep working and keep the hard work going. If you start counting your profits or losses only after an ounce of work, you would be left with pennies. The real success of your hard work starts pouring in, only when your back aches, eyes get tired and you still look forward to the next sunrise.
