Why should poor people not feel inferior to wealthy people?

William Shakespeare once wrote, “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so."
There is nothing to feel inferior or superior in being rich or being poor. It is your thinking which makes you believe so.
Please see the following picture of the Buddha who was a prince having access of all the wealth, luxuries and power. Yet he decided to discard all these to become a monk. He carried a bowl and begged food for his survival.
The Buddha never felt inferior to even the richest person of the world.
Let us take the case of another man who is popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi.
He was the most popular leader of not only India but also of the world. He could have lived the life which would have made even the kings envious. However, he lived like a poor in a single cloth even if he had to meet the kings. Winston Churchill even refused to meet him due to his poor-like dressing and called him ‘half naked fakir’.
He never felt inferior due to his poverty. He was proud of it.
If you have food to eat, cloths to wear and a home to live, you are not poor unless you choose to feel so.
If you have the habit of making your life miserable by comparing, you would be feeling inferior even you have a billion dollar wealth since there would still be hundreds of people even richer than you.
